Fall Protection

Program Description

 

This comprehensive program on Fall Protection and Prevention is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to identify, assess, and control fall hazards in various workplace settings. 

 

Through a combination of theoretical instruction, hands-on exercises, and case studies, participants will gain a thorough understanding of fall protection principles and best practices to ensure a safe and secure working environment when working at height in industrial settings.

 

This program is for individuals that do not work on Construction Projects where a CPO approved Working at Heights Program is required.
 

Learning Outcomes 

By the end of the program, participants will be able to:

  • Define and identify fall hazards 

  • Identify the impacts falls have in the workplace

  • Discuss applicable fall protection regulations and standards 

  • Discuss consequences of non-compliance 

  • Examine and apply the hierarchy of fall protection measures 

  • Identify various types of fall protection equipment 

  • Demonstrate how to inspect and don fall protection equipment 

  • Explain the importance of proper fit and selection

  • Outline the key elements of an effective rescue plan

Managers, supervisors, users of fall protection equipment and devices in non-construction environments, joint health and safety committee members
