What H&S experience do you have?
I am a National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) with over 20 years of experience in the health and safety industry. During my tenure at Occupational Safety Group (OSG), I developed expertise in workplace safety training, compliance and management. I now leverage this experience to lead my team to deliver safety solutions through exceptionally friendly service.
Throughout my career, I have played a key role in supporting safety for organizations including Konica Minolta, Shoppers Drug Mart, Municipalities, the St. Lawrence Seaway and many other large and small organizations.
I am proud to be part of a Women Business Enterprise (WBE)-accredited organization that champions the advancement of women in the safety industry. Equally passionate about my community, I actively support initiatives that promote health and safety awareness, including ongoing involvement with Threads for Life by way of participating in their annual Steps for Life event.
What health and safety moment are you most proud of?
I was at a client's location, providing a mini audit, and noticed a potential machine guarding hazard that they had no idea about. A staff member would try to bypass the guard, and we walked by just in time. We shut down the machine, I sent in our consultant, they created a policy and program. No one was injured, and they now have a solid program in place.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Traveling - I enjoy the sun, culture and food. I also love to hang out by the pool with my family and friends (especially my grandson and pup Bronx!)

My Paternal Grandmother. I have been told on numerous occasions I take after her, which makes me proud, as she was the smartest, classiest woman I have ever met!
Why are you a health and safety nerd?
I am passionate about creating safe environments, preventing risks and ensuring people are protected from harm. I am deeply invested in finding fulfillment in understanding how client's systems work and how they can be optimized for safety.

Why are you a health and safety nerd?
As I learn more every day about the safety industry, I have found myself diving into real life situations and applications with great pleasure. If you pay close attention, you will run into areas of H&S improvement on a daily basis, whether you are on the road, at home, or shopping around the block. Sometimes I find myself pointing at something and internally thinking, “hey, that doesn’t look too safe”.

What H&S experience do you have?
My passion for health and safety started early, having grown up in a family deeply involved in the field and who instilled in me the importance of safety both at work and at home. With over five years of experience as Administrative Manager at Mentor Safety Consultants Inc., I developed a strong understanding of the client experience and the importance of making safety training seamless and efficient. I’ve coordinated large-scale training programs across multiple locations, always focused on delivering cost-effective solutions and exceptional service. I’m excited to bring this experience to MSW Training and Consulting and to be part of such a knowledgeable, dedicated team helping clients achieve their safety goals.
What health and safety moment are you most proud of?
There isn't necessarily one moment that I am most proud of. I am most proud of the overall ability to help others with their Health and Safety needs. Whether it’s through training, guidance, or simply raising awareness, it feels meaningful to contribute to safer workplaces and communities. What’s even more fulfilling is that the knowledge and skills I’ve gained aren’t limited to professional settings—I’m able to bring that information home and use it to help keep my friends and family safe as well.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and my pets. I like to crochet in my downtime, often making handmade gifts or items for fun or family. I also volunteer at a local retirement home, where I enjoy connecting with residents, and I serve on the board of directors for a local non-profit, helping guide its work in the community. These activities reflect my commitment to creativity, connection, and giving back.
If you could have dinner with anyone who would it be?
If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be my Grandma Wright as I never had a chance to meet her. I always hear great things about her and it would have been nice to get to know her.
Why are you a health and safety nerd?
I proudly consider myself a safety nerd because I believe it’s essential that everyone goes home safe at the end of the day. Safety isn’t just a checklist—it’s about people, their families, and their lives. I truly enjoy being part of someone’s safety journey, whether it’s through training, or simply sharing knowledge. Helping others build confidence and awareness around health and safety is incredibly rewarding, and I take pride in knowing I can make a positive impact in that way.
