First Aid - Recertification

Program Description

 

MSW’s First Aid CPR/AED Recertification Program is designed to refresh and update the skills and knowledge of individuals who have previously completed a recognized first aid certification program. In accordance with regulatory requirements in Ontario, this course ensures that participants maintain their proficiency in essential first aid techniques, enabling them to continue providing effective assistance in emergency situations.

 

Learning Outcomes 

By the end of the program, participants will be able to:

  • Review and reinforce fundamental principles of first aid and emergency response

  • Update knowledge of recent advancements and best practices in first aid procedures

  • Practice and refine skills in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), wound care, and injury management

  • Familiarize participants with changes in protocols, guidelines, and regulations relevant to first aid provisions

  • Enhance confidence and readiness to respond to medical emergencies in various settings

 

Target Audience 

This course is for current holders of valid first aid certification in first aid with CPR and AED, who are seeking recertification. In accordance with WSIB regulations, all participants must provide proof of current and valid Red Cross certification to be permitted to complete a recertification course. Please note that expired cards or valid recertification cards will not be accepted as proof of current certification. This is a legal requirement, so please check your certificates before registering for a recertification course.
