Front Loader Tracker

Program Description

This course provides participants with the knowledge and hands-on skills required to safely operate a front loader tractor in a variety of work environments. Learners will gain an understanding of machine components, safe operating procedures, maintenance requirements, and hazard awareness. Emphasis is placed on workplace safety, load handling techniques, pre-operational inspections, and compliance with applicable regulations and best practices. The course includes a blend of classroom instruction and practical exercises to ensure operators can confidently and competently use a front loader tractor.

 

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the program, participants will be able to:

• Identify the main components, controls, and safety features of a front loader tractor.

• Perform pre-operational inspections and basic preventive maintenance checks.

• Demonstrate safe start-up, maneuvering, load lifting, carrying, and dumping techniques.

• Recognize common hazards and apply safe work practices to avoid incidents.

• Apply proper load capacity limits, stability principles, and weight distribution techniques.

• Follow applicable workplace policies, manufacturer instructions, and regulatory requirements.

• Respond appropriately to emergency situations, including shutdown procedures and incident reporting.

 

Practical Evaluation

Following the program, operators shall receive a practical skills evaluation 

 

* Note – Practical skills evaluations will be completed provided there is a sufficient amount of time remaining following theory training. Practical skills evaluations are affected by the skill level of participants and different classes of lift trucks operators require evaluation on. Each evaluation may take up to 30 minutes per participant.

For new operators, practical skills evaluations must be completed within 90 days of theory training.
