Program Description

 

MSW’s Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) program is designed to equip participants with the essential skills and knowledge to identify, assess, and control workplace hazards effectively. The course will delve into the principles and methodologies of conducting a comprehensive JHA, providing participants with practical tools to enhance workplace safety. 

 

Through interactive discussions, case studies, and hands-on exercises, participants will gain a thorough understanding of the JHA process and its significance in preventing workplace accidents and injuries.

 

Learning Outcomes 

By the end of the program, participants will be able to:

  • Identify factors that contribute to hazards

  • Define and recognize different types of workplace hazards

  • Develop the skills to assess the severity and likelihood of identified hazards

  • Identify the principles of risk prioritization to focus on high-risk activities and areas

  • Learn how to document the JHA process effectively, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and control measures

  • Gain insight into selecting and implementing appropriate control measures for identified hazards

  • Discuss the hierarchy of controls and how to apply it in practical workplace scenarios

  • Identify strategies for ongoing hazard monitoring and regular review of the JHA process
