Program Description

 

This comprehensive Workplace Violence and Harassment Prevention program is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to recognize, prevent, and respond to instances of workplace violence and harassment. In a dynamic four-hour session, participants will delve into the complexities of workplace dynamics, gaining a deep understanding of the various forms of violence and harassment that can occur. 

 

The program will cover legal obligations, communication strategies, and proactive measures to foster a safe and inclusive work environment. Through engaging discussions, case studies, and practical scenarios, participants will develop the tools and confidence to contribute to a culture of respect and prevent incidents of violence and harassment within their workplace.

 

Learning Outcomes 

 

By the end of the program, participants will be able to:

  • Define and differentiate between various types of workplace violence, including physical, verbal, and psychological harassment

  • Identify different forms of workplace violence and harassment 

  • Clarify the legal obligations of employers, employees, and supervisors in preventing and addressing workplace violence and harassment

  • Provide an overview of reporting mechanisms and the role of internal and external agencies

  • Explore proactive measures to create a safe and respectful workplace culture
